Help installing external modem.
This external drive has the usual 12v and 5v power. Now I am wondering how to connect this LED. Can someone clue me in as to the usual dropping resistor which is used for this purpose? I can do a lot of studying on Ohms law, but I am a little lazy. I measured 2V across the LED. I am guessing it is a 3V green LED.

I just purchased a used external CD-ROM drive and have had no luck getting it to work. Here's the details... The CD-ROM drive model is an NEC MultiSpin 3xp, CDR 400. When I plug the CD-ROM drive into my Mac (Power Mac 6100, running System 7.6.1), and then turn on the Mac, all I get is a grey screen.
